Superbike Racing 2025 Season
Duncan Perry are proud to sponsor the PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team in the Supersport World Championship for 2025.
PTR Triumph’s Tom Booth-Amos was looking to bounce back in Race Two of the FIM Supersport World Championship in the Czech Republic on the weekend of 17th/18th May. Booth-Amos made a strong start up to fifth from ninth on the grid and was catching the leading group but with a couple of laps to go he was losing ground and eventually crossed the line in ninth. While not the recovery he was aiming for it was an intelligent ride that added crucial points to his championship campaign.
Tom Booth-Amos: “I felt actually pretty good with about six laps to go and I don’t know why but we just got really bad chatter and I kind of just brought the bike home and got as many points as possible. Not the best weekend but we look forward to Misano.”
Teamate Oli Bayliss also delivered a determined ride. Starting Race Two from 18th he was immediately dealt a setback with two long lap penalties imposed for jumping the start. Undeterred, Bayliss executed two good long laps and made a great recovery to come through the field to finish well inside the points in 12th.
Oli Bayliss: “I’m a bit disappointed after that one. I was feeling really good on the bike and the pace is showing. Two long laps didn’t help us at all so really kicking myself. We’ll try again in Misano to maximise our potential. Thanks to my team and sponsors.”

PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager Simon Buckmaster:
PTR Triumph Racing Factory Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “Tom looked strong in the first part of the race and started to close on the leaders, then he said he started to experience chatter. He had a moment and after yesterday’s crash, he just wanted to bring it home in the best possible position. Ok it’s only ninth, certainly not the weekend we were looking for when we came here but also a bad weekend for Stefano Manzi so we really didn’t lose much to him in the championship. Still third in the championship, we can’t afford another weekend like this though.
Oli fractionally jumped the start and got a double long lap penalty but after that he rode a really good race. He was getting into the 34s, similar lap times to the leading riders and he fought back through to twelfth place. But it is the way he rode, the best he has ridden since Australia, his confidence is coming and we can go to Misano expecting to see better and better performances. If we can qualify, we can get him well inside the top ten so congratulations to him that was a really good effort. So we have to look forward to the next race in Misano and challenge right at the front and work well with Oli, congratulations to the team for all the hard work as always.”
